This tour combines the famous landscapes of Krabi and introduces the little explored treasures of Trang and Nakhorn Sri Thammarat as well as the natural beauty of Khao Sok National Park. Trang province boasts tropical islands with unspoiled beaches, clear waters and colorful corals and marine life. Nakhon Sri Thammarat province is home to local fishing communities and undiscovered beaches, while the town itself is home of the most important religious temples in Southern Thailand.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1 SUN PHUKET – PHANG NGA - KRABI                  
Pick up from your hotel in Phuket and drive to Phang Nga, famous for its bizarre rock formations rising from the sea. A tour by long-tail boat through the bay brings you to James Bond Island and a village built on stilts entirely over the water. After a delicious seafood lunch return to the mainland and continue to Krabi province, where you will visit the Tiger Cave Temple, located on the outskirts of town. Dinner and overnight at KRABI HERITAGE HOTEL in Krabi. (-/L/D)

DAY 2 MON   KRABI  
Excursion by speed boat to nearby islands like Koh Poda, Koh Kai, Koh Tub and Tale Waek (a stretch of white sandy beach connecting two islands, which can be seen only during low tide). There will be time to laze in the sun along one of the best beaches in the south. After a picnic style lunch on one of the islands, transfer back to your hotel in the early afternoon and free time until dinner. Dinner and overnight at KRABI HERITAGE HOTEL. (B/L/D)

DAY 3 TUE  KRABI – KOH HAI After breakfast, depart for Trang and boat transfer to Koh Hai, an island located about 30 minutes off the shore. Check in at Koh Hai Fantasy Resort. Rest of the day at leisure, enjoy the crystal clear water and palm fringed white sandy beach. Lunch and dinner at the resort. Overnight at Koh Hai Fantasy Resort. (B/L/D)

DAY 4 WED  KOH HAI              
Boat excursion to Tham Morakot (Emerald Cave), a beautiful limestone tunnel that can be entered by swimming during low tide. The tunnel stretches 80 meters before finally emerging into an open pool of emerald hue -  an awesome sight! There will be also opportunities to snorkel around the rocky islands of Koh Chueak and Koh Waen. Lunch and dinner at the resort. Overnight at Koh Hai Fantasy Resort. (B/L/D)

DAY 5 THU  KOH HAI-NAKHON SI THAMMART- – KHANOM         
After breakfast check out and transfer back to the mainland by hotel shuttle ferry. We then drive to Nakhon Sri Thammart, located on the east coast of Southern Thailand. After lunch at a local restaurant, we visit the house of Suchat Sapsin, who received the 1996 Thailand Tourism Awards for the best cultural and historical site. His house has a shadow play museum and you can watch artisans demonstrating the craft of making shadow puppets. Another visit will be made to Wat Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan, built in Sri Lankan style and measuring 55.78 meters in height. The top of the pagoda is entirely covered by pure gold. Inside the temple are many buildings of importance, especially the royal building which displays architecture from the Ayutthaya period and the Sam Chom building, where a Buddha image attired in royal wardrobe is housed. Afterwards you may browse the local market and shops for some souvenirs the province has gained reputation for, such as silver jewelry, niello ware, colorful “kapo fans” made from a kind of palm and “yan lipao” basketry, finely woven handbags and baskets, which can take up to one month to finish, depending on the pattern and size. We then continue to Khanom, located about 90 km to the north. Dinner and overnight at CHADA RACHAKHIRI RESORT & SPA on Nai Plao Beach.(B/L/D)

DAY 6 FRI KHANOM – SURAT THANI – CHEO LARN LAKE - PHUKET            
Late morning we depart to Kanchanadit and visit the Monkey Training School. After lunch at a local restaurant in Surat Thani, continue to Cheo Larn Lake in Khao Sok National Park. The lake is surrounded by limestone mountains and cliffs covered in tropical rainforest that rise up from the shore of the lake and disappear into the far distance. The scenery has been compared to Qualin in China or Halong Bay in Vietnam. Few people know of the lake and even less have visited it. There are over one hundred islands in the lake, which is over 60 km from north to south. During an excursion by long-tail boats you will have the opportunity to admire the spectacular scenery of the lake. Return to shore and transfer to Phuket, where we will arrive in the early evening.

Tour prices are inclusive of transfers and tours by air-conditioned van or coach with English), boat fees, baggage handling, entrance fees, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), accommodation in air-conditioned rooms with shower/bath, service charges and VAT.

Tour prices are based on a minimum of 4 participants. If less than 4 persons are booked, we will inform you 28 days before departure. You will be given the option of proceeding with the booking by paying the applicable surcharge or cancel free of charge.

Not included are other meals not mentioned in the program, surcharges for compulsory gala dinners and peak season surcharges, expenditures of personal nature.

Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather conditions and availability of rooms.
