Sample Itinerary
DAY ONE
Arrive Zurich then transfer via first Class Swiss Rail to the lake side city
of Lucern. Lake Steamer trips and mountain railway options are
included with your package (Reservations and meal supplements must be
purchased seperately). There is so much to see.
DAY TWO and THREE
Transfer via First Class Swiss Rail for the Mountain city of Zermatt. Your family hotel in Tasch is just 10 minutes from the center
of Zermatt, the cog railway, and high mountain gondolas of the Matterhorn.
A 25% discount awaits you on many optional mountain excursions. This
area is great for short hikes between alpine villages accessible only by
mountain path. It is a chance to discover a world you have never
experienced before.
Because there is so much
to see in this car-less mountain village, you will have the remainder of day
2 and all of day 3 to explore. Car-free Zermatt has a special sense of tranquility
and a
local color of its own with its horse drawn carriages and electric
carts transporting locals and visitors alike. No one visits Zermatt without taking a ride
on Europes highest cableway to the Summit of the majestic Klein Matterhorn for a
spectacular view of this unique Alpine world. Perhaps youd like to hike the many
groomed mountain trails. There are quaint villages here that can only be reached by
footpath. The cog railway will give you a special discount for a ride to the top.
Just
show them your Swiss Rail pass. Or perhaps youd like to visit Italy - you can by
Gondola.

DAY FOUR
Board the world famous Swiss Glacier Express in Zermatt for
your fantastic 8 hour train journey over 291 bridges, through 91
tunnels up and down the beautiful, majestic Swiss Alps. From the comfort
of your First Class panorama car you will experience the splendid beauty of
the Swiss Alps world. Spend your fourth night in St. Moritz.
DAY FIVE
Board Swiss Rail for your final journey to the thriving city
of Zurich and a change of pace for your last day.
DAY SIX
Depart on your own for Zurich Airport. Leave early in order to do
some fantastic duty free shopping.
All travel must be between May 15 and October 15.
Departures Daily. Those who wish to add days may do so. We highly
recommend adding a night each in Lucern and St. Moritz.
