Day 1
El Paso – Chihuahua
You will begin your
journey upon you are picked up at your hotel or airport in El Paso and
transferred to Juarez City bus station where you will take the first bus
departing to Chihuahua City (buses leave every 30 minutes). You enter México at
Juárez and drive south through Chihuahua, the largest and one of the richest
states in México. Upon arriving Chihuahua City you will be transferred to your
hotel.

Time permitting you can take a city tour (not included see below) visiting
Pancho Villa’s home (closed on Mondays), the Cathedral, the Spanish aqueduct,
murals at the State Capitol and residential districts.

2
Chihuahua – Divisadero/Posada Barrancas
Early this morning
at 5:15 am you will be transferred to Ferromex train station to begin your rail
journey. The train leaves at 6:00 am and arrives for Posada Barrancas at 1:00 pm
approximately. Upon arriving, transfer to your hotel.
This afternoon explore the mountain and canyons
where the shy and primitive Tarahumara Indian lives in crude Log cabins and
caves. The mysterious canyons conceal in their depth Indian caves and villages,
old Spanish mines and modern villages.

3
Divisadero/Posada Barrancas – El Fuerte
Use
your free time, this morning to bargain with the Tarahumara Indians who
sell their handicrafts near the hotel. After lunch transfer to the train
station to boar the train to the colonial town of El Fuerte. Upon arriving
transfer to your hotel.

El Fuerte – Cerocahui
Board
the train this morning and admire the beautiful scenery on the return
trip. The train winds and bores its way through tunnels of the Tarahumara
range of the western Sierra Madre. Upon arriving transfer to your hotel.

Paraiso del Oso (up/grade available).

5
Cerocahui – Creel
This
morning you can take a tour called Gallegos Urique Lookout (not
included see below). It is the most sweeping view of the
Copper Canyon system readily available to tourists. Start at the 7500 ft.
elevation overlook of the deepest canyon, Urique Canyon, and of the mining
town of Urique. Interesting stops at old Tarahumara church, a cave home, a
rancho and the Virgencita spring. 22 miles round trip. 3 ½ hours. A must!
Transfer back to the hotel for an early lunch and transfer to the train
station to reboard the train to Creel. Upon arriving transfer to your
hotel.

6
Creel – Chihuahua
This
morning you can take a tour (not
included see below) visiting Tarahumara Caves, the Arareco
Lake, the old Missions, and the Mushrooms Valley, among others. Transfer
to the train station to board the train at 02:00 pm back to Chihuahua City.
Upon arriving at 10:00 pm transfer to your hotel.
**Today
we suggest: Private
transfer back to Chihuahua City - Highly Recommended (MIN 4 pax at no
additional cost).

7
Chihuahua – El Paso
This
morning transfer to the bus station. Upon arriving Juarez City bus
station, you will be transferred to the El Paso airport or any downtown
hotel. End of our services.
