~ The Historic Paris Apartment ~

This enchanting apartment is located near the Louvre Museum off Rue du Louvre and Rue Etienne Marcel. You are in the Paris 2nd Arrondissement just a block from the border with the 1st. This is the elegant Right Bank. Place Des Victoires with all the designer shops is only one and a half blocks away.
This unique historical apartment was part of the home of the Countess Dubarry who was the mistress of King Louis XV. She was dragged from this building during the revolution (when she was in her 70s) and taken to the guillotine for having had a relationship with the father of Louis XVI. A copy of a painting of the Countess now hangs in the apartment.
This spacious apartment consists of a large room that serves as a living room and bedroom with a Queen size bed. A smaller room has a trundle bed that makes two twin beds. A small galley type kitchen is equipped with an oven/stove, refrigerator and all the utensils needed for light cooking. The bathroom is small, but has a shower, sink and wc. The two rooms can each sleep two persons in each room. The apartment is ideal for two couples or parents traveling children. Each will share the bath which is accessible only through the one room.
